Kale-ifornia Winter [#80]
Hi from Playa del Rey, a sleepy beach six minutes away from my house. People are walking around in their chunky sweaters and cutoff shorts, eating "kale baked eggs" and I love it. This time last year I was living in my sad media apartment at the Winter Olympics, an event so bitterly cold (for everyone) and lonely (for me) that it led me to call the NPR news boss in tears and say I MUST MOVE TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, WHERE THERE IS NO WINTER.
