Not So Snitty [#83]
Hey y'all!
Happy May. I spent a lot of time in California cities last month — San Diego, Palm Springs, San Francisco — and my youngest daughter turned two, so I potty trained her with the Potty Training Boot Camp (results in two days, it's rad). But mainly we've been heads down on getting my new video series out the door, as it's been baking for awhile. It's an Elise Tries spinoff! You know, like how Melrose Place spun-off from Beverly Hills 90210. In the meantime ...

This didn't even feel like work but for this feature, I binge-watched all 10 episodes of the new adult animation, Tuca and Bertie (starring Ali Wong, Tiffany Haddish and known snack Steven Yeun) and spent time with its creator, Lisa Hanawalt. ICYMI, hosted some It's Been a Minute episodes — a weekly wrap from San Diego and a conversation with Barry star, Anthony Carrigan, who plays Noho Hank.
Watch and Listen
The Cut on Tuesdays podcast interviewed the much-hyped Sally Rooney. I like The Cut on Tuesdays in general, for long drives.
Netflix's Japanese dramedy, My Husband Won't Fit is about exactly what you think. It's so uncomfortable that I kept watching it. I don't know if this is a recommendation. I just want you to know about it if you don't usually watch Japanese dramas, as this one is available on Netflix now.
Tuca and Bertie, of course! It's out on Friday.
OK more to come soon ... I gotta go back to cooking Future You with Elise Hu! It requires all sorts of ridiculous feats of human strength, like trying to increase my vertical jump. Long story. More later.
Hugs,
